About

Widescreen Music is a creative scoring studio specializing in writing cinematic, narrative music which blurs the lines between the electronic and the organic. We harness technology within our creative practice, abstracting orchestral, found and synthesized sound objects to build singular, emotive sonic worlds, for motion picture, television, video game and immersive media projects.

We believe deeply in the power of interdisciplinary collaboration, working extensively with other creatives, from filmmakers to field recordists, composers to computer scientists and architects to astronomers, to deliver collective creative visions which exceed the expectations of any individual contributor.

Our recent work includes co-scoring Sky One political drama COBRA and BBC thriller MotherFatherSon starring Richard Gere with BAFTA & Ivor Novello winning composer Rob Lane; weaving plasma wave data from NASA's Voyager space probes into Max Richter’s score for Brad Pitt sci-fi movie Ad Astra; and building cutting edge virtual instruments for Mary Queen of Scots starring Saoirse Ronan & Margot Robbie, and western Hostiles starring Rosamund Pike & Christian Bale. We also consulted on the design of Max Richter's state of the art recording studio by architects Charlie Luxton Design & Level Acoustics.
